When you have reached HQ 16, you will come cross many bases with Prototype defenses, such as Boom Cannon, Doom Cannon and so on. And you will face hard time to beat such bases especially your opponents are of higher XP than you. But nothing is unbeatable, there is always a way to conquer such bases. Let us have a look at it.
Actually at any level, you are bound to run into people who have maxed their defenses which make it hard to attack. These people may intentionally tank their VP so that they only have to attack or get attacked by weaker players. If you do want to attack the bases with Prototype defenses, you can have a try with T-med. Then you will have a few things you must deal with: Boom Cannon, Doom Cannon, Shock Blaster and Shock Cannon.
Boom Cannon, Doom Cannon and Shock Blaster will make quick work of a Tank. And if they are of high enough level, the Cannons can one-shot a Tank, so they must be deal with firstly. Shock Cannon is not bad by themselves – a group Tanks at worst will be able to shoot it and then get shocked. Repeat this a few times and the Shock Cannon is doom to be took down. However, when your Tanks are in range of other weapons, regular Cannons and Sniper Towers can do enough damage to take you out.
So those are your priorities, you can either try to take them out with GBE (Artillery and Barrage), or attack and Shock/ Flare when they get in range.
