Strategies You Need to Know about Farming in Boom Beach
Here I am going to share with you the strategies you need to know about farming in Boom Beach. Hope you will like it.
First and foremost, you should know the advantages and disadvantages of farming in Boom Beach. The advantages of farming is that you do not need to spent a lot of time on playing Boom Beach, only 30 minutes or 1 hour everyday is required. The Resource buildings on your base or your villages will keep producing resources and you just sweep it into your storages everyday. And there is no worries about logging out at anytime, you can play Boom Beach slowly and steadily like reading a good book – savor it slowly.

The disadvantages of farming is that if you do not often attack other players, you won’t have any chance to earn much Intel, or you even cannot join in a Task Force and enjoy the fun of playing with other players. Moreover, you will not become a skilled attacker due to lack of practice on harder bases. Because you don’t attack others, then no one will attack you, you don’t even need to think how to arrange your base layout to defense others.
But since you’ve decided to play a farming style in Boom Beach, below are 3 tips for you:
1. What Troops should be used?
Even you choose to act a farming style in Boom Beach, sometimes you need to attack Dr. Terror to get some loots to upgrade your buildings. To be consistent with the “minimal playing time” theme, it is highly recommended you to use T-Med Rush because they are hardy and you will rarely incur any losses during the raids, therefore no rebuild time. With this Troops strategy, you can get all your booming done in 30mins once/twice a day.
2. Should you attack pvps?
As far as I am concerned, you should not attack pvps all the time. On my fully-uncovered map, I have 30 pvps with 1% spawn rate. I am very sensitive to the complaints about being rolled by high-lvl players, so I just don’t attack. I’ve only attacked once or twice in the past month and only to cover a last bit of resource shortfall that I did not want to spend diamonds for. Besides, farming always play nice: leave us alone and we’ll leave you alone.
3. What VP should you have for your lvl?
There is no hard cap for VP per lvl. Just keep your VP at the lvl where you can defend 100% for a few weeks. If you upgrade defenses, you can attack player bases because that’s free resources for you. Your VP will climb a little but your upgraded defenses should be good enough. So do not keep your VPs artificially low otherwise you will be foregoing free PvP resources and slowing your progression. It’s a delicate balance of VP and defense.
